What is the Multiverse FunRaiser?

What is the Multiverse FunRaiser?

Every January, The Cereal Box Network sponsors the Multiverse FunRaiser, hosted by Cosplay Cafe Baristas, Crayle and Kelly.

But what exactly IS that?

The Multiverse Funraiser is a virtual fandom jamboree and a charity fundraiser all rolled into one package. We’re not just raising funds for a good cause – they’re raising FUN.

Each year, they choose a different charity or cause to support.

In previous years, they’ve supported The Valerie Perrine fund to help her fight Parkinson’s Disease, and (under their previous name) The Actors Fund.

In 2023, they’ll be raising funds for the John Ritter Foundation for heart health.

Each year, they have celebrity guests, artist/writer panels, a giveaway, and much, much more.

Just check in on the Cereal Box Network Facebook page, YouTube channel, or the website, and events will be running all throughout the weekend, January 20th-23rd.

Another great aspect of this virtual convention is that audience participation is completely encouraged. Viewers got to ask Noah Wyle and Kim Rhodes several questions in those celebrity panels in January, 2022.

The Multiverse team puts comments up on the screen for everyone to see, including the guests.

And it’s usually a very star-studded event. Check out their guest lineup from 2022:

The panels and workshops are also incredibly helpful for budding and veteran creators alike.

Some of the panels in the past have covered topics like self-publishing a book, getting into voice acting, and more. Last year, Kelly even did a paint-along class while dressed as Bob Ross.

Most of all, they talk a lot of comics, books, movies, and pop culture in a very round table way.

So tune in, and if you can, follow their instructions on how to donate to a great cause.

Check out their website here for updates as they announce the events for January of 2023.
